San Andreas Multiplayer (SAMP) Guide

Installation Process
1. Install Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
You must have a copy of GTA: San Andreas installed on your computer. The game must be version 1.0 (not the newer "downgraded" versions).
2. Download SAMP Client
Download the latest version of SAMP from the official website:
3. Install SAMP
- Run the installer you downloaded
- Follow the installation wizard
- Make sure the installer detects your GTA: San Andreas installation directory
- Complete the installation
4. Run SAMP
Launch the SAMP client from your desktop or start menu. The client will automatically detect your GTA: San Andreas installation.
Note: If you encounter any issues, make sure to:
- Run both GTA:SA and SAMP as administrator
- Add exceptions for SAMP in your antivirus/firewall
- Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date
Connecting to Servers
1. Using the Server Browser
- Open the SAMP client
- Click on "Internet" tab to see available servers
- Use the filters to find servers you're interested in
- Double-click on a server to connect
2. Using Direct Connect
- Open the SAMP client
- Click on "Add server" in the favorites tab
- Enter the server IP and port (e.g., sampsphere.com:1420)
- Click "OK" then double-click the server to connect
3. Using Quick Connect
You can directly connect to a server by using the "Quick Connect" feature in the SAMP client:
- Click on "Quick Connect"
- Enter the server address (e.g., sampsphere.com:1420)
- Click "Connect"

Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
Game crashes on startup:
- Try running in Windows compatibility mode
- Disable any mods you might have installed
- Reinstall both GTA:SA and SAMP
Can't connect to servers:
- Check your internet connection
- Make sure SAMP is allowed through your firewall
- Verify the server IP and port are correct
Game runs slowly:
- Lower your graphics settings in GTA:SA
- Close other programs running in the background
- Update your graphics drivers
